Alright so to begin with in gonna go over some situations.

level 1-12 mineral build.
this section is going to go over the early game, how to respond to when, and when to respond to it.
level 1: 1 mineral in mana
there's more to think about level 1 than you think. If you are laning a long ranged hero, and you are almost sure you are going to get harassed, weaken the second small tank before you go farm marines. But don't try to kill it. If you find yourself taking to much damage, go back and finish that tank up.
level 2: 3 minerals in mana simple
use your x skill to farm. Make sure you prioritize creep respawn. If you are too late to get big marine respawn, then go for the ghost respawn (they are at the same time) lots of people make this mistake.
If you are getting low in hp, try to get 350 gas to return home to heal and get a mana card.
Level 3: 1 mineral in attack 4 minerals in mana if staying in lane or if you have a mana pot.
Level 3: 2 minerals in attack 3 minerals in mana if you have a card
3 different situations here.
situation 1 is simple. If you stayed in lane and want to stay in lane, get your 4th mana point and an attack. Farm.
situation 2 is simple as well if you have a or are going to get a mana card you can put 2 points in attack
situation 3 needs some explaining if you want to be risky buy a mana pot when you go back. DO NOT try to get kill at level 3 though unless you are 100% sure you can get it. Farm until level 4 first
Level 4: 3 minerals in attack 4 minerals in mana
this should be this way no matter what.
This is also the chance to try to kill the enemy with that mana pot.
Level 5: 3 minerals in attack 5 minerals in mana Purchase ultimate.
You should definitely have a pot with you this level. Try to kill the enemy.
Level 6: 4 minerals in attack 5 minerals in mana upgrade slow of Z skill.
this is because the slow on the z is a good chasing skill, and the x skills upgrade might not be needed.
if you have a hero like Abel zedait or Ron on your team, don't buy it (that's just an opinion)
Level 7: 6 minerals in attack
unfortunAtely this is where you start to realize charge is getting expensive. By now you should have a mana regen (ALWAYS CARRY ONE MANA POT WITH YOU)
Level 8: 7 minerals in attack 1 in speed
Level 9:8 minerals in attack 2 in speed
Level 10: 9 minerals in attack 3 in speed
Level 11: 10 minerals in attack 4 in speed
Level 12: 11 minerals in attack 5 in speed
Gas build through these level:
alright since every game is different I'm gonna lay out the guides for gas build for these levels. After your first regen try to buy shop speed booster
then another regen
from then on get as many shields
by level 12 you have to at least have 2 mana regen, shop booster and 1 shield, or you are behind.
Gas build for the rest of the game:

buy all shields
buy 1-2 shield regeneration
buy 5 hp packs
buy 5 shield packs
that is it. Afterwards you should be buying Mass cards and pots.
