How do you edit replays in a movie editor?

What editor and conversion software do you need to edit a replay and make a movie sort of like the CAMP videos? I would like to play around with that and see what I can start doing with replays since we need more "tutorial" vids, etc.

Can you actually convert a replay into a common videoformat? You could use fraps and record the important/cool parts of the game, think thats overall easier. Dont know how the camp videos were made, but I think recording the parts you want with fraps and then editing them wirh magix or something is the easiest solution.
