How do you play Samarion?

potless lvling (Note: You will get fucked by every PvP with a better slow than you/blink so do another build if you're laning against one of those)

4/5 Mana + get manacards, farm with X
Atk until you have 460 mana (from lvling up)
Slow upgrade (start killing/forcing retreat ppl with C + V (+ X))
Turret upgrade after 2nd mana regen upgrade -> throw turrets down at bunker and run away/camp at watchtower. Get it earlier if you have lane controll to farm tanks faster.
Get Ulti if you reached 600 mana (C + F) or if you start potkilling.

Mana regen
Speed
Mana regen// cut manacards[/i]
Shield x1 or x2 //start potkill
mana pots (prob like 2-3)
max. Shield

Dont kill your crate unless your lvling against some super slow cratekiller (you can kill it of you can avoid cratesteals... but i dont recommend). Sam kills his crates so incredible slow and you will probably end up giving both to your opponent. So try to steal their crate.

Be sure to always harass your opponent by attaking him with first marines.

In sam mirror, you can go either potkill or use this build with speed card. You probalby wont be able to dodge the first 1-2 Potkills from the other Samarion, but since respawn times are short will be ahead in mana regen and thereby in shield. Just try to avoid getting killed while you have your manacard.

No need for early potkills (depends on situation, ofc always carry at least 1 manapot with you) just spend gas for permanent buffs. Stop buying manacards between the 2nd manaregen and the 2nd shield

Duran (Upswing only!, its not good, but atleast better than potkill, cause you will never win a burstfight against him.)

- Normal combo is CFVX against blinkers or CVFX againt nonblinkers because F prevents blinking. Otherwise it is better to V first cause blocklings are earlier.

- Even tho this build is incredible risky and gets countered by half the heroes, if you lane against someone you can pull it off sucessfull you get a hell lot of an advantage in midgame over the aggresive sambuild

I dont remember every timing from this one 'cause I worked on my potless build for the last month, but this is what I still know.

I will play this build in the next inhouse games and check the timings and add bad laneups. And if you know the potkill build for sam feel free to correct me

lol how is samarion bad against blinkers... doesnt he disable blink??
i know zava's burst is high enough to own samarion... but im pretty sure soul gets owned... could be wrong tho o.0

the same principle with zava works with icemage soul... blinkdodge the bug+f combo then just icemage or blink dodge anything and hit an icemage he dead... the only issue is the kinda random v spam harass... that thing really messes up low health chars

Blinkers are no problemo in lategame, the thing is you have to F first and lose the damagebonus from C, but thats ok. You get raped with the no pot build because you rely pretty much on your speed and agility. Blinkstrikers however are a pain in the ass -.-

Same lane Samarion vs Blinkers/Casters is favored to Samarion.

Worst matchups for Sam are Force Fire, Blade Hunter, and Warlord Zeros (if 0s survives till lvl3) in my opinion.

Yes SungJ. In my more or less out to date potless build tho, an offensive blink will most likely destroy your only defense mechanism, which is slowing/blocklings and running away. So you will have a hard time from lvls 5-8, which is basicly why I am almost not playing it anymore.

But with standart/agrresive build you are right... always getting pwned by Rooibs FF -_-

Are there any buffs for sam in the near future?

He doesnt' need buffs. He just needs to be popular. He is great vs. bad early game chars. can push by tower dropping. good support with 50% single target slow and broodlings to fuck up movement speed and disables blink witht eh added bonus of having 4 speed. Did I forget line splash?

He's probably the slowest cratekiller in the game (excluding stealhunter), his Ulti is bugged and he is bad lategame.

sama's ult is not bugged... but one of the hardest ultimate to use. if you don't hit right you won't do much dmg but if you hit right good dmg. Test sama's ult on tanks and see which part of the ult does the most dmg

Those bugs aren't even solved in KR. And Samarion is already on the verge of Tier 1.
The only two things Sam lacks from being t1 are:
1. Can't deal with hard counters (Force Fire, Blade Hunter, Genesic Hunter)
2. Lack of popularity
With such great early game (except first crates) and well-balanced skills Samarion doesn't need a strong late game.

His lategame doesn't seem "weak" to me.
