Going to stop playing Lur.

I'm afraid that, alas, my use of Lur is making me worse as a player. My strategies with Lur always win me my pubs, but in a good inhouse it only works 1/5 times. No late game just makes him an overall lacking character. So I guess this is my public vouch that I'll find new characters to play frequently.

Imo out of melees hes one of the only that actually has viable lategame as a Pvp but hes just nowhere near as dominating on early mid as the better melees

I don't know, if you have suggestions, I would be grateful.

Depends on what characteristics you like. I might try write a guide of how to find characters that fit people's styles.

Well, he likes lur, therefor... he likes to not trust his allies and have lots of easy early game/kill combos. You could try... zedait? but he has no late game either, so maybe mech/duran.

Zed is pretty support heavy in my opinion.

Melee has received way too many nerfs since it was created and is slowly becoming pretty useless. Although I consider Zeros still one of my "mains" I hardly ever play him anymore for the same reason. The general style of choices in inhouse games influence what others choose as well, and with the tendency for NA to start following KR in terms of fast early game heroes (i.e. tier 1-2) heroes like Zeros are only played for fun.

In terms of melee the only viable choices are Blade Hunter, Genesic and Quakers. I played BH for a while, but I've moved back to Quakers for a variety of reasons. Lur is honestly the most pathetic melee in the game and late game no melee shines unless its fed mode or Zeros, so that's not the reason you should be picking melee in the first place.

Like I tell anyone who has a conflict of what to main: find what role you like to play. Pushing, PvP or support and choose accordingly. Do you like to shine early game or mid-late game? What is your favorite part of the game in general? Those kinds of things will steer you in the right direction of what heroes to be looking for.

Personally, I like elephants so Quakers was a natural choice.
