Pub teachers

A little idea to further increase the number of inhouse players, and raise the skill level of pubs. I imagined some kind of blackboard in the help menu, with names and cc's of inhousers who are interested in teaching pubs to become superpros.

If enough agree, we could give it a try. Comments?

You can just make a thread similar to the "CT player" thread.

I don't see how this could possibly hurt ct growth and it can't be hard to add, maybe even add it to the loading screen.

They don't even read the loading screen...

When I tell them to get mana, they go "f you i know what i'm doing" and just go pure atk.

difference is ih players know that they can always get better, pubs just blame it on imba...

i try to get EVERY good pub into inhouses, or at least at using potions

well, 50% of them are like "i dont care ih i just wanna rape noobs" and other half like "i just get owned in ih im not good enough"

Ok so please teach me!!!!!!!!!! o wait how to you teach someone how to micro better?? i know how to level and split and also to use most of the hero's but find that i micro not that good? And the only reason i hate playing IH games is that i dont have a lot of time to play so when i do play i cant wait 30min while every one is taking in channel? Guess that is my only excuse. So who will be my mentor?

i could i guess tho at least show up in the channel even if u play pubs or sommin so u can show up when ihs do happen...

Well, come on the cityoftempest chat channel. Ask if anyone wants to coach you or if their are any inhouses you can join. You get better much more quickly inhousing than pubbing. But just ask and maybe someone will take you and teach you. But the time honored way to get good at CT is to start being able to crush public games. Then you start joining inhouses, go through the usual getting crushed by 5other players better than you. Then you start getting good and eventually with enough inhouses you stop being everyone's feed box, start winning and start joining tourneys, getting more involved, and being able to win games.
I think that's how a lot of notable players got better: Alexander, Pacman, me, Barsark, etc. but what really helps is copying Korean players playing your main character. Pick a main character, watch Korean replays in the replay section of this forum, and copy what they do. Then apply that to inhouses and you'll get better very fast. I think that's how Macanas Hades got so good so fast. He wasn't really good with any other character for 8-10weeks but he's starting to branch out at the moment.

So recap: 1. play inhouses. 2. If possible, get someone to coach you. 3. watch Korean replays.

Hope you have fun and stick with this game past the "getting crushed in inhouses" phase .
