Blinking out of spells...!?

so... i've been messing around with blink chars to troll people in inhouse, and I've noticed some stuff.

first off, as hopefully all of you know, you can blink out of basically any attack (even the targeted attacks, i.e:silence, hook, curses, etc..)

but, alot of successfully avoiding attacks is more of anticipation than pure reflex, so when I blink out silence, I usually suspect that i am about to be silenced, so I use blink. It is usually not: "woah, black thing heading my way at high speed, gotta hit z then click" cuz that takes so long

but, if you know an attack IS coming, you can use purely your reflexes to dodge it (i.e. moving up a ramp where you suspect ron might be at the top, then blinking as soon as you see the parasite jumping at you).... or at least sometimes you can (if the projectile is slow enough)

after alot of testing, im 99% sure that without anticipating, it is impossible to blink as zava out of lur hook, because even though i can click blink before the hook lands, it takes several time frames for the blink to activate, allowing the hook to successfully land
but, it is EASY to blink out of silence without anticipating.

This brings me to my question: What are the different blink speeds (probably measured in time frames?) of zava, soul, and forcefire headbutt?
and what are the projectile speeds of hook, silence, and ron's bug?

You are forgetting:

Final Blow
Hard Crash (Quakers)
Crusher
Warlord Strike

Crusher can get out of hook easily, I've tested that a few times. Somehow it disables the animation or something, I don't know. I saw a guy a long time ago get out of Krizard's freeze with crusher and saved the replay, but not sure if that still works now. I remember he still got frozen sometimes, but if he did crusher at the right time he got out of it. I think crusher makes you invincible for a small portion of time or something but it seems to get out of that kind of stuff.

blinkstrikes are different since they dont get disabled... and in all honesty hooking a blinkstrike move is kinda stupid unless its mid-late or u hav some serious confidence that ur combo speed is faster than his when u ambush him

Uhm. They don't get disabled? Silence disables everything, and you can fb/ws/gc/hc out of it. Same thing with all other spells like curses, etc. Hook is an exception with crusher but it does disable headbutts both for FF and Q and FB. I haven't tested WS because I don't use it really but I am sure it disables that as well.

Crusher is the only exception because I think it is a programming bug with the animation of the spell.

i meant hook, hook disables blinks and shields for a while (except janne's)

also to the list of projectile speeds can some1 tell me icetime, janne's curse and vag's curse? cos imo janne's curse, silence and bug are easy to dodge with reactions but vag's curse is bloody hard for me and icetime does sommin wierd to my reactions T__T or the projectile flies faster than the actual effect

yah hook is the hardest to dodge out of reflex imo (easy to anticipate tho, cuz its a melee move)

Hook can be dodged by the melee blinks is what I was saying. And crusher can dodge it even if you get hooked.

Fastest projectile in the game: Drago's Z. If you can dodge that then you are God.

those are the only 2 not-able-to-be-blink-dodged moves, making them faster than drago z.

edit: no way yo. fb will not blink out of hook unless you anticipate the hook/randomly accidently use fb at the right time

LAST TIME I USED IT, IT PUSHED THE ENEMY HALFWAY BACK INTO HIS BASE. =.=

umm hades' c is a hitscan afaik so it cant be dodged whereas abel's c is not hitscan and u CAN blink dodge it(iv done it kinda outta luck) also afaik u can blink dodge headbutts cos iv headbutted dead creep before so it isnt hitscan

also u can still fb while being hooked so who cares if he hooks u just combo his ass at the same time

if you blink out of vision while hades is firing his laser, i think it misses. obv. this won't be because of reflexes tho =p

you can only dodge the bounces, you can't dodge it if he actually targets u

afaik = as far as I know

also, my experiences with headbutts etc is that if they target me and I blink at same time, they follow with the blink so it doesnt really help.

Soul hunter. almost has no delay around blink
so it's easy to him to avoid but

u can dodge the first hit if u blink as the thing hits kinda luckbased due to the sheer speed of the thing tho

meh. idk. are you guessing that or have you ever done that? i don't mean that in an aggressive way, but i'm curious, cuz i can't remember blinking out of it ever... but i definitely remember blinking out of it to have it chase me down and hit me... T_T mayb pacnoob too noob.

i did it before and i spent the rest of the game sayin I AM GOD and basically lost cos i was just spamming messages XD

I gotta say though, even Soul Hunter relies heavily on prediction than reaction.
Zava is 99% prediction; Abel is pure luck.

Abel blinks the slowest but he can go into fog. Zava's blinks a lot faster cd and actual blink wise but it can't go in fog and least range (I think). Soul Hunter best blink but needs it to move less than average speed.

zava's blink is definitely longer than sh's but idk by how much
